INK FOR CALLIGRAPHY.|
Youth Ink 100ml bottle is a 100% black Carbon Ink, commonly known as India Ink, although this one was made in China. Classes for practise of Calligraphy or brush work would use this ink, but it is good enough for finished/frameable work, as carbon does not tarnish with age and is acid free. Some information about this kind of ink: The method of manufacture is similar for any carbon ink, basically burning certain woods or oils produces thick black soot. This is the inks Carbon base. The black ink can be used undiluted with a nib or brush, and will allow dilution in water for shades of grey. A wide topped bottle/jar or dish/palette will be needed to be able to dip into the ink, as the neck of this bottle is to narrow. Simply load your jar/palette with enough ink for your current use. It is not a waterproof ink, but once down on paper & dry, it deeply engrains itself into the fibres. Being a Chinese ink, it is ideally suited for "One Brush Ink Drawing" or "Sumi-e", as the Japanese call it. The 100ml size bottle sells for $5.00 each. |

Manuscript Acrylic Ink in a 30ml bottle is for DIP pen, or small painting work users. The ink being a liquid plastic has water resistant properties when dry, but can be thinned for wash work using water if painting. This is an easy flowing ink straight from the bottle & comes in Sapphire Blue or Sepia (thats a dark brown with black tones), # NEWLY acquired colour: a beautiful shade of "Emerald".
